Interweaving the pedagogical and the decolonial: struggles, paths and sowing of reflection-action to resist, (re)exist and (re)live
Catherine Walsh
The two texts collected in this volume are representative of Walsh's thought, despite being strongly marked by the constraints of current reality. As the title of the book indicates, two axes articulate the author’s reflection —which is also a praxis—, the pedagogy and the decolonial, in a militant bet for what she calls “decolonial pedagogies.” The hopeful courage that animates the first text, “Routes and paths,” contrasts with the somber, disillusioned, melancholic tone of the second, “Screams, cracks and sowings of life.” In their contrast, it unfolds an inescapable reflection on the course of the left in the current global bewilderment.
